TEA BLENDING WORKSHOP: Saturday Oct. 11, 2 pm at ToGather (73 Depot St. Proctorsville) See Events section for more information. Sunday is the last day the Museum is open for the season 2-4 pm.
FREE GO KITS: If you haven’t picked up your free “Go Kit,” we will be distributing them at Cider Days in Mt. Holly this weekend.
CARE FOR CULVERT, DITCHES & DRAINS: Take advantage of the three day weekend and clear ditches, culverts and drains in and around your property. Use Be Storm Savvy to learn more.
While we're thrilled more and more community members are doing these checks, there is one thing everyone can do-PLEASE AVOID USING SINGLE USE PLASTICS, particularly plastic bags. These easily fly away and end up blocking culverts and drains. We've pulled out a lot of bags and plastic bottles in the last year and a half. PLEASE USE REUSABLE BAGS!

In this evocative performance, you'll encounter: A family haunted by a lingering curse; A mysterious stranger who unsettles a small town; An old woman who may—or may not—be immortal; Blending Gothic tension with New England locales, these tales explore the thin veil between the known and the unknowable, the natural and the supernatural. Perfect for fans of regional literature, atmospheric drama, and literary mystery. - 50 minute performance with atmospheric lighting and Q & A . Appropriate for ages 10 and up. This event is free and open to the public. This event takes place on Oct. 17 (Friday) at 6 pm at the Cavendish Fletcher Community Library, 573 Main St. Proctorsville.
3. FREE COMMUNITY ART EVENT: Sun, Oct 19 from 1-4pm Join us for our inaugural Creating in Community free art event! Kathryn Svec, artist and Executive Director of Create Together at Fletcher Farm, will host this community project for participants of all ages and abilities. Together, we will pay homage to Okemo while exploring our creativity. Drawing inspiration from the many moods and seasons of the mountain, each participant will make a portion of Okemo using materials such as glue, paint, recycled paper, fabric scraps, beads, old sewing patterns, and other found or recycled objects to make a mixed media panel or 3D collage. Anything goes with this project: literal or abstract, simple or fiddly. You choose your materials, techniques, colors, and style! The finished pieces will come together to make a full image of the mountain which will be displayed publicly after the event. This event is free and open to the public, but please register or contact Kathryn so we know how many people to expect!
